With QXMLPR500, I get the value in this way: 


if QxmlDOMNode_isNull(ChildNode) = Qxml_NODNOTNUL;              
  if QxmlDOMNode_getNodeType(ChildNode) = Qxml_ELMNT_NOD;       
    Child = QxmlDOMNode_getFirstChild(ChildNode);               
    if QxmlDOMNode_isNull(Child) = Qxml_NODNOTNUL;              
      if QxmlDOMNode_getNodeType(Child) = Qxml_TEXT_NOD or      
         QxmlDOMNode_getNodeType(Child) = Qxml_CDATA_NOD;       
        NodeValue = QxmlDOMNODE_getNodeValue(Child);            
        QxmlTranscode(NodeValue:Qxml_UNICODE:oStgp:Bpp:Bap:280);
        text =  %str(oStgp);
