Justin,
Check to see that your OPEN is not running during a *INZSR or in a
subroutine that won't execute after your next receipt of an order number
from the message queue.  The OPEN should be in-line with the rest of the
code.  I have a similar program that reads from a data queue and my output
subroutine has the OPEN, some field loading code and print output, then the
CLOSE.
