This may or may not help you, but iSeries Access for Windows 5.5 (came out with V5R2?), has an option under the Edit, Preferences, Hotspots menu that allows you to double-click on a complete URL and it will open a web browser window. The checkbox should be marked for Execute URL. The trickiest part about it is that you have to have the *complete* URL listed - including the http://. The nice part about it is that you don't have to worry about the location of the web browser executable, and all links open in the same window - not separate ones like STRPCCMD. Carmen -----Original Message----- date: Wed, 7 Jul 2004 11:56:01 -0400 from: fraser@xxxxxxxxxxxx subject: STRPCCMD I am writing a program that will allow users to view UPS's tracking system on the web from a RPGIV program. I have been successful when there has been only one tracking number. I use the STRPCCMD command to initiate the process. However, when trying to use multiple tracking numbers the PCCMD parameter exceeds 123 characters and the program malfunctions. Has anyone had any kind of experience with this and can tell me how to possibly get around this problem? Thanks. Gary Fraser IS Manager Peerless-Winsmith Inc. (716) 592-9310 x527 fraser@xxxxxxxxxxxx
