problems with QYASPOL - mirrored unit protection

hi,

i'm trying to use this api to get some disk info. i'm using YASP0300 list 
format and all works fine except the mirrored unit protection field/part. 
according to the ibm api reference it should return 0 or 1 (0 if only one disk 
is active of the disk pair, and 1 if both disks are active). but it returns 
nothing (or allmost nothing). more specifically it returns 02 in hex. my ebcdic 
reference says it stands for STX. now what the hell is STX. and should the api 
even return such a value.

i'm working with V5R2.
