I was working on a similar program last night. In my case I have a
multiple occurrence data structure that is based on a pointer. If the
MODS is defined to occur 10 times (regardless of the actual usage) then
the dump is immediate. If it's defined as occurring 99999 times, then
the dump take 10+ minutes. I'm sure it's the same issue.

So yes, the large dynamic arrays are drastically slowing the dumps.
