record lock logic for input primary file

Below is what I normally do for record lock problem:
key     chain(e)    myFile
        if          %error() 
        if          %status = 1218
        call        standard Record Lock program.
        else
        .
        .
        endif
        endif             
 
 
How can I do the samething for a input primary file?
