OK - you got me beat Tony. I've never heard of the FILEEXT keyword. Neither has WDSC, or Google, or ..... <grin> Best guess is you mean EXTFILE. >> In debug, after the EVAL op, and before the OPEN op, the variable contains the filename, but the open fails. What am I missing? A PTF? The only problem I've had with this option was when I accidentally typed the file name in mixed case. But I'm pretty sure the error message showed the name in lower-case.
