I have this little note in my personal notes:
*
* Calculate 14 days in the future, starting from the current date.
*
* @SYFDATE1 = *ISO date field containing the date plus the additional 14
days.
* @SYFDATE2 = 7/0 numeric field containing the date plus the additional
14 days.
* This is the one to be used on the calculations.
*
* Step #1: Identify the date in *CYMD format, using BIF %DATE.
* Step #2: Add 14 days to the date, using BIF %DAYS. Save the result in
an *ISO date field.
* Step #3: Take resulting value and change the format to be *CHAR with
* *CYMD format, using BIF %CHAR.
* Step #4: Get the integer part of the value, using BIF %INT.
* Save the result.
/Free
@SYFDATE1 = %date(#SYDAT:*cymd) + %days(14);
@SYFDATE2 = %int(%char(@SYFDATE1:*cymd0));
/End-Free
