Subject: RE: RPG IV to solve national weather problems

This is very interesting, if true. RPG is not, in my opinion, a very good
language for the heavy calculations involved in meteorology nor is an i5
really designed for them. I couldn't find an article about this on the
National Weather Service site or using Google. Would you be so kind as to
share the source?

Thanks.

According to the national weather service, the IBM iSeries i5 with RPG IV
and the new i5/OS Version 6 Release 0 will be used from now on to monitor
the weather the impacts North America.
