A would still be a duplicate.  DISTINCT would only reduce errors caused by

How about using the DISTINCT keyword on the SELECT statement?  That will
avoid duplicates.

I am trying to insert records into a 400 file which has the UNIQUE
keyword.
I am inserting using a select statement which will generate duplicates.
The
way it is currently working the insertion stops after the first
duplicate
key error. Is there any way to have it keep on going. There are more
