Jon, you are most likely dead on about this. However, I have nothing to compare it to, so... But still, maybe it's because my high-speed connection is over a two-way satellite (DirecWay)? The download speeds are around 750-900K. The upload speeds are much slower, between 70-250K. Perhaps WDSC does a lot of back and forth acknowledgements/conversations during a given session? If that were the case, I could see where that could be the bottleneck in my network. Although I will point out that Client Access works like a champ every time. Anyway, thanks for that information Jon. It gives me hope that someday I too will be able to join the Big-Dogs and play in the WDSC sandbox also. :-) And I KNOW! This is off topic! So I'll drop it now. :-) Thanks -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jon Paris Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2005 5:50 PM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Parameter Procedure return value in the parm list >> I don't think it's my network, although I guess it could be. Trust me Shannon - it is your network. I'm using a relatively slow DSL connection to a little old model 170 and for a source of 500 -1,000 lines it rarely takes more that 10 -15 seconds max.
