IIRC,

The attributes that cause the window to show up, are placed before the start of 
the column.

Something to keep in mind, the "GUI" window attributes take more space than the 
"text" window.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, I spent a bunch of time doing trial 
and error to figure out what the rules actually were.

I believe, I posted my findings to the newsgroup if you want to look for 
them....ah heck, I'll make it easy....
