what about files created with CRTPF RCDLEN(xxx)?  They won't show a source 
file either.

I'd go the API way.

I'm not sure how consistent it is but you could try doing a DSPOBJD of 
files
to an outfile and selecting all records that don't have a source file 
name.
These would be your source files.

I need to be able to determine if a physical file is a data or source
physical file in RPG IV.  I thought the QUSROBJD API could be used for
this, but I don't see how.  The attribute returned is always "PF"
regardless.  Any ideas?
