If you're talking about writing a utility to do this for you, generically,
then QUSLRCD is a good choice. The other database API is QDBRTVDBI or
whatever it's called, probably gives you the same info, but in a different
format.

I have a need to see if a record format exists in a file. Is the QUSLRCD
API the best option? I only want to see if it exists in the file. I'm
not going to be using the information for anything else.
