Uhh, of course. I often use a 'result' variable in functions that
return something so that I can run the debugger over it and press F11 on
it to see the contents. Pressing F11 on %eof(example) produces an
error, as does eval %eof(example).
I should remove the unnecessary 'if' statement:
p read_example b
d read_example pi n
d result s n
/free
read example;
result = not %eof(example);
return result;
/end-free
p e
