Terrors of ignoring %status, %error, file infds, or even simple indicators on opens and other file operations.

Don't you just love vendor supplied code that does something like:
     C                     OPEN ORD500O                90
     C                     TIME           TIMEAK
     C                     WRITEORD500OA

The problem being is that indicator 90 got turned on and they didn't 
bother to check.  Granted we threw fuel into the fire by changing the file 
and forgetting to recompile the program.  Coworker thought it might be a 
security issue (like most users, you change one thing and then they start 
blaming everything on that change :-)  )  But the DSPPGMREF showed 
otherwise.
