Hi,
OK, I must still be missing something. I have tried all the
suggestions and my output file still shows the field as *01138. This is my
new code:
H OPTION(*NODEBUGIO: *SRCSTMT)
D InEmp S 25A Varying
D WkEmp S 25
D String DS
D Length 5I 0
D Data 255
C EVAL Data = InEmp
C EVAL WkEmp = Data
Not using the DS doesn't seem to work either. I had
C EVAL WkEmp = InEmp
Both ways, I still have unprintable characters at the beginning of the
field. From all I have read, this should be a no brainer.
I am calling this from SQL and the program has been made into a stored
procedure. This is the call statement:
CALL V64BPCSUSR/SVLBRNEW (246065, 10, X'0005F0F1F1F3F8')
I don't know if that is what is causing the problem or not. What am I doing
wrong?
