And Don - I know it wasn't you but I'm suspicious that you may have an alias! <grin> There were so few licenses sold of PL/I (and almost none to companies that weren't software vendors) - even if it was a better subset IBM would only have sold another half dozen copies or so. There is no way that the porting expense could be justified. I suspect the mainframe version written in PL/X and not even in the W-code family.
