Is there a way to use the API QMHSNDM to send a message to the job log? None of the special values do.
Typically, QMHSNDM is for sending messages to a non-program message queue. However, the job log is typically a collection of program messages.
Therefore, my suggestion is that you use the QMHSNDPM API to send a program message -- I use *DIAG messages when I want to put a note in the job log. Works very nicely.
