Didn't think for a minute that you was. I was confirming your assertion that the origins of SLS go back further than S/38. I just thought it was worth noting the Atlas computer as the implementation that inspired Dr Frank - which may not necessarily have been the first. But I'm British and come from Liverpool in the north west of England so I like the idea of SLS originating only a few miles from my home town - even if it is Manchester. <grin>

MULTICS looks pretty interesting too. I'm reading the wiki at the moment: All good stuff...
