Hi Bob,
For example: assume you have a copy book for API's and another one for
sockets programming. One day you decide to extend the API copy book with
IFS API's. Next time you compile a sockets program you get a duplicate
definition error for the 'close' prototype. I know that there are ways to
prevent this, but what I wanted to show was that it is possible that a
change in a copy book introduces compiliation errors. And thus it makes
sense for a source management system to check this whenever a copy book
changes.
