You will need to get comfortable with using Display files.  Have you 
done that before?

You'll need to design the display file and then reference it in your 
program.  Add to your F spec's:

FWMYSCRN   CF   E             WORKSTN

Then in the main body of your code do something like:

exfmt MyScrnF;

Then retrieve the value from the prompt. I usually have a DOU loop plus 
something that edits for a correct value and exits the loop so you don't 
dump garbage into your program.

You could also do something in CL that would prompt for the value and 
then pass it into the program.  Either approach should work.
