Assuming an environment of CCSID 37 then x'67' is the correct value for 
Latin capital A with ring above (Å) but with your debug showing a value of 
x'00' the data would appear to have been lost (substituted out).  Where is 
this data coming from (Database, Integrated File System, HTTP, etc)?  What 
is your current job CCSID when reading the data?

Hex value for Capital A, ring






We have used the x'67' hex value code to try and find the Capital A ring 
character in a string.  It doesn't seem to recognize the character.  When 
debugging the program and displaying the field with the character string 
in hex...where the Capital A ring character is expected displays a zero. 
Any ideas or things to check?
