Within the DDS for BOTH Field 2 & Field 3, attach (if that's the right
word) CHECK(ER) to each of them. I'm assuming that each of the fields are 1
character/digit. So as soon as the user changes either of the fields, the
program will act as if the Enter key had been pushed, so that your program
logic is run, and Field 1 can be re-calculated.

Hi All,

Can someone tell me if there is an easy way to update a change on a
display file? In my display file I have three fields. The first field
has a master number, and the other two fields are user-defined. When I
change the values in Field two or three, I would like field one to be
automatically updated.

For example:

Field 1: 45

Field 2: 0

Field 3: 0

I change field two to 30. The screen should now show:

Field 1: 15

Field 2: 30

Field 3: 0

I change field three to 5. The screen would show:

Field 1: 10

Field 2: 30

Field 3: 5

Etc..

I guess in C/VB terms I'd be looking for an OnChange event to fire when
the fields change.

Thanks!

Brian.
