I wonder what the reasoning behind allowing RPG IFS source files was ...
It was a recognition that increasingly applications that used RPG were often a combination of VB, HTML, Java, JavaScript, etc. etc. Of those only one (RPG) made any sense in a source physical. To simplify change management it made sense to have all sources in a common repository. Since VB would never be available in source physicals it made more sense to allow RPG code to reside in the IFS. Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
