the CS101 course (basic programming logic) has surely been taught that a DO WHILE loop (RPG/400's DOW operation) doesn't check the looping condition until it reaches the END of the loop (RPG/400's ENDDO operation). BTW: This is true for ALL programming languages...
Time to revisit that course I think ...
