The point about long statements is a very good one - the space available for an EVAL is much narrower than that of an assignment in free form - about double, in fact. Unless, of course, you have something nested 15 levels deep in IF blocks!! Kidding! -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Larry Ducie" <Larry_Ducie@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Hi Lim, I'm planning on requesting management approval for using free form RPG in our application. Does anybody has any reference materials about benefit of using free form and may be a quick guide of syntax of free form that I can use?
-snip- A very simple eval statement
can be over six lines long!
