Hi,

the RPG built-in-function %TimeStamp() only fills and uses only the first 3 digits of the microseconds. If you need all six digits, you should use the SQL special value CURRENT_TIMESTAMP.

C/EXEC SQL   Set :MyTimeStamp = Current_TimeStamp
C/End-Exec

Mit freunlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Hi Jim, much safer to use MytimeStamp = %TIMESTAMP.

If you also need the matching date and time, you could then do
  MyDate = %DATE(MyTimeStamp);
  MyTime = %TIME(MyTimeStamp);

Doing %DATE and %TIME separately, you might do the %DATE one side of
midnight and the %TIME the other side of midnight, giving you 24 hours
too early, say
  2006-10-20-00.00.01
rather than either
  2006-10-20-23.59.59
  2006-10-21-00.00.01
