You know what?  I never understood the logic of
select itemnbr into :itemnbr
from myfile
where itemnbr=:itemnbr
If you already know itemnbr, why the hell are you asking for it's value 
again?  Try removing itemnbr, and just leave the rest of the desired 
fields, on the select statement.
