Shame on you!! :) :) :) What you want is self modifying code, just load the correct code instructions (rules) from the database, and then execute 'em. I used to have to maintain a system that worked just like that... it was - "fun." Oh well, you could always move over to Mainframe Assembler and just use the EXecute command... All kidding aside, what I would look at doing is moving the logic to a stored procedure on the database, and then execute it there. If the programs do not have a lot of maintenance on them, that is. If they do, well... it might be that they way there are now is the best (or least bad) way to keep them. -Paul
