Thanks for the reply Bill. Jon Paris responded earlier with a suggestion that I quickly tested with. I am probably going with that suggestion. However, if the QA testing proves that there are some insurmountable problems, I will definitely revisit your suggestion. Have you tried DSPUSRSCN? Source code for it can be found here: http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200002/msg00998.html -Bill ------------------------------ message: 3 date: Wed, 14 Feb 2007 14:47:07 -0500 from: Alan Shore <AlanShore@xxxxxxxx> subject: RE: Screen data capture Albert/Booth/Rob/Bob Thanks guys. The STRCPYSCN command worked, however, as per the documentation for the command, a message was sent to the user (me) asking me for authorization to allow this to happen. Unfortunately in the production environment this will not be allowed. The capture of the
screen
data needs to be invisible to the user. Is there anyway to
suppress/bypass
this message or do you know of any other way to capture the screen data? Alan Shore NBTY, Inc (631) 244-2000 ext. 5019 AShore@xxxxxxxx ------------------------------ -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing
