Subject: Max length of a VARYING field

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something. Is there a better way
to find the maximum number of characters that will fit in a VARYING field
than 'maxlen = %size(varyingField) - 2'?

Thanks,
Adam
