I don't see why anyone is taking this question seriously.

If someone has to ask if they should advise their "clients" about a very
expensive course of action in a mailing list, they don't deserve an answer
or clients.

I expected one reply atleast like this.  But I would like to get an
expert opinion from RPG specialists here.  So I cannot post this in
COBOL mailing list.

I have a program wherein the user enters the data library name on the
screen, and the company name. Now I first need to validate if the

a valid AS400 library and if yes then i need to validate the company

from the company master file present in that data library.
Any suggestions on how this can be handled??
