Oh I don't know Joe, I seem to recall thinking the same for other languages including RPG.

Such thoughts seem to be mostly "wish list" items that might show up in the future.  For instance,

myDateNumber = %dec(%date());

At v5r2, I wish it worked like that....

At v5r4, it does <grin>
