What you're asking for makes no sense.

This number, 12345678, is the same as this number, 0012345678, or even this number,
00000000000000000000000000012345678.

The fact that one is 8 digits and one is 10 makes absolutely no difference in any calculation.

Unless you want to convert the 10 digit number to be alpha or something????

Then with RPGIV, you could:
Alpha10 = '00' + editc(num8:'X');
