Quite true. Which is the main purpose for which I write "conventional" (i.e., controlled by a primary file) Cycle programs. Even the one or two Cycle programs I've written that actually produced a report in a spool file (as opposed to either running interactively or just quietly fixing funky data) would fall into that category.

And of course, if you use The Cycle UNconventionally, then all the implicit I/O, matching, control breaks, and so forth become irrelevant, and you're left with the entire main enclosed in a big "do until told to stop" loop.
