Supply an alternate [improved] version of the program which logs 
and/or inquires on an unexpected failure; e.g. in this case, in 
pseudo-code doing effectively the following:
   If SqlCode = -104 Then Do;
     Call LogSQL(SqlStmnt); /* stmt avail outside pgm  */
     DUMP;                  /* invoke HLL dump feature */
     RpyVal=SndInqMsg();    /* enable debug active pgm */
   End;
  Also I believe there is a feature in the SQL to effect [at least part 
of] the above, even without updating the program to provide its own 
feature to trap\log the condition to enable review and/or debug.  I can 
not find any doc references, but from an APAR one can infer some capability:
