That would have been my answer had someone asked me about this  
situation before I experimented. However, I did recheck my code and ...

Oh, crap ... proc3 returns 2

... and now it's my answer again.

Forget everything I said in my last append. It's all crap. It was  
late ... and I have a cold ... and ...
