Yes, the 5494 manual is some help, but it's not exactly complete,
either. And it's a good deal harder to understand than the old 5250 manual.
And the TN5250 and TN5250e RFCs are also of some use.
I remember being told once that docs for some features (like attributes
that don't take up screen positions, and/or go beyond the basic 5250
attributes) were available in a manual that was only available under
NDA. Since there was never any demand for that level of emulation
fidelity (probably because almost nothing uses such features), we
declined to pursue it any further.
