Memory tells me the defaults apparent on the 540 command are the same
since the existence of the command.

For the Archives, be aware that QSYS/CRTSQLRPGI is a Proxy command at
V5R4.
The impact of issuing CHGCMDDFT therefore needs to be clearly understood.

(The practice of copying an IBM-supplied command from QSYS and changing
the defaults of the copy will result in the Proxy *CMD being copied and
the Original *CMD being changed. This may be undesirable.)

Others have already advised using the SET statement in SQL to modify
compile
options.
