This is an issue with writing files.
Eventually I'd like to learn to do spreadsheets with style sheets and
xml, just don't have time to do it today. Maybe the RPG-XML Suite is
the way (time, time, need more time). I discussed increasing the jvm
heap size with someone as a solution (I think that's how to implement
the increase memory proposal). The "more power" Tool Time solution
might work, but the program has performance issues now. More memory
means more objects which means even slower performance.
I like your solution Aaron, which I interpreted to be "create the java
spreadsheet objects in java". The pointer size problem in ile goes away
then. (I have one cell style in this app by the way, which is created
once and reused).
Relieved to hear it's not my implementation, it's a repeatable error.
When I didn't see anything in the mailing list archive, that was my
first concern. I got around the problem by splitting the program in
half. Submit once, create three files, submit again, create second
three files. As the distribution is an emailed link to the IFS folder
where the spreadsheets are, it doesn't matter that they are created
separately (vs emailing them as attachments, rpgmail rocks by the way) .
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
