This will do the equivalent of TESTB in /free.

It can be easily changed to look at a 2-character field or you can  move 
your own field into single character fields for the test.

i'm struggling with some bits and the bifs for bit operations. I got a 
character field (length 2) and want to check if the 7th bit is turned on 
(regardless of the state of the other bits). Any idea?
