Joep, Thanks
I googled QWCLSCDE and came upon the following web page
http://www.itjungle.com/fhg/fhg120104-story01.html
for a command that can be used to Submit Job Schedule Entries Immediately

To everyone that responded MUCH APPRECIATED

Alan,

You can use API QWCLSCDE to retrieve information about the scheduled
entries. That will give you all the information you need.

Morning all
I know that there is a way to programmatically hold a job schedule
entry
HLDJOBSCDE JOB(JOBNAME)
and there is a way to programmatically release a job schedule entry
RLSJOBSCDE JOB(JOBNAME)

My question is:-
is there a way to submit the Job schedule entry.
I know I could code the same SBMJOB parameters, but if the JOBQ or the
JOBD
changes on the WRKJOBSCDE for whatever reason, this program would also
require to be changed for the same parameters

Hopefully the question I am asking makes sense
