Re: Date in RPGLE

Did you really mean a 3-digit year? What do you need it to say? Or do
you mean the first character to be the century?

The %char() function has a format parameter, such as *MYD - to have a
result without separators, put a "0" after the format.

If you are going for CYYMMDD, you might have to use the MOVE op-code, at
least at V5R4 with *CYMD in factor 1.

The other option is one of the CEE* date APIs - really quite easy to use.

Hi All,

Sorry if this was covered previously, but i could not find in relevant
google/archive search.

Is there any opcode/function in RPGLE through which we can get the
system
date in YYYMMDD format without any separators? I know how to do it with
data structures, but dont want to use it everytime.

TIA
