Hi Alan,

I'm very confused. You say you're getting the same error, but the error you posted is not even close to the one in the link!!

2. I am getting this error which is the same as the one mentioned in the
link.
[SNIP]
Java exception "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: String
or binary data would be truncated." when calling method "execute"

I followed your link, and this is the exception I see posted in that thread:

Cause . . . . . : RPG procedure JDBC_EXECC in program CELS/JDBCR4 received Java exception "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect
syntax near 'CE_AddTestRecord'." when calling method "execute" with
signature "()Z" in class "java.sql.CallableStatement".

Maybe you posted the wrong link?! Not sure, but in my book "Incorrect syntax" is extremely different from "data would be truncated".

This error seems to imply that you are passing a value that's too long for the parameter you're passing it into. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell us which parameter has that problem (which would've been helpful.)
