I did a quick test on my 6.1 box.  Variables in the "MAIN" procedure are 
not global.  Globals must be defined before the first "p" spec.

I didn't think of that!

When you declare a main procedure in 6.1 with the MAIN keyword, are the 
variables declared inside the main procedure global?
