The SPENDMONEY command became obsolete in 6.1 on Power 6 hardware to 
create a test lpar.  Providing you already have an HMC.  Yes, it's a 
little more expensive but then again, lan console is not a zero cost 
solution either (assuming that you're not using that old PC you already 
have laying around, you're not a thief of MS software, etc).

On Power 6 hardware running 6.1 you can create guested lpars.  You don't 
need the dedicated hardware of previous lpar solutions.
