Hi, Marvin:

Files on optical media will appear just like any other IFS file, under the pseudo-directory named "/Qopt" ...

Insert your DVD or CD and issue:

WRKLNK '/Qopt/*'

to see the names of the files on the DVD or CD.

All the best,

Mark S. Waterbury

Is there a way to access a file on OPT01 from an RPG program?
I am researching ways to get data off of a DVD and I would like to avoid
having to copy the file from the DVD to the IFS before being able to
access the data in the file.
I have created a DKTF file but I am not sure that is the way to go.
If anyone know how to access OPT01, please let me know.

Marvin
