Charles is right. IIRC, since V5R3 a DELETE without a where clause, when the
table is not being used by any other process (ie, the DELETE can do a
exclusive lock to the table) , it is the same as a CLRPFM which, AFAIK, is
not recoverable using journals...

It seems that Rob's post would need some minor changes. Nevertheless, I
still think is a nice intro.

Rob: Would you mind if I use your post as a base for a small article for the
midrange wiki?

David: You can find a list of the Journal Codes V5R4 here:

Nope,
16 -F OP - File Open
17 - F CL - File Close

Now
15 - F CR - File Clear

is another story. :)

That's from either CLRPFM or an SQL DELETE without a where clause.

A while back Rob Berendt wrote this wonderful intro to
Journals:

Check it. I think you will find it worthwhile...

Hey, I just got into journalling! See, if you don't post, you don't
learn.

Trouble is, I just ran the sql bit from hell, there are no records left
but nothing in the journal except :
Opt Séquence Code Type Objet Bibliothèque Travail Heure
15 F CR ARHDMN FOXWELL DFX3 14:26:09
16 F OP ARHDMN FOXWELL DFX3 14:28:02
17 F CL ARHDMN FOXWELL DFX3 14:28:03

I think the 16 and 14 pertain to my sql delete.
