The OVERLAY(MYDS) keyword causes MYDS to be referenced, and that causes the compiler to load all the subfields of MYDS.

Arguably it's a bug in the compiler that it thinks a reference due to overlay should affect whether I spec fields get loaded or not, but the compiler tries to err on the side of caution for this I spec optimization.

Michael, you could code DUMP(A) and you wouldn't need the DEBUG keyword to get the dump.
